Maria Deskur

President of the Management Board of the Universal Reading Foundation (FPC), graduate in Romance studies and communication, former long-time head of Egmont Books and Burda publishing houses, co-creator of the “Basia” brand, initiator of the “Czytam sobie” series, expert in reading promotion, author of The Superpower of Books. A Guide to Reading Promotion, co-author of the #DadReadsToo and Reading School guides, Ashoka Fellow, and member of the Public Benefit Activity Council.

Katarzyna Brzozowska

Project Manager in the READ.For Real Team, coordinator of the European Authors Day - #ReadForReal initiative in Poland and the Polish National Hub. Previously worked in the optical industry in the areas of management and e-commerce, as well as in the beauty sector. She is a graduate in Art History and a long-time member and former scout instructor of the Polish Scouting Association ZHR, affiliated with the 23rd “Pomarańczarnia” group.
