The European Authors Day celebrations under the #ReadForReal slogan are back for 2026 – and this free webinar is where you'll find everything you need to take part, get seen, and make your event genuinely engaging.

Maria Deskur

An expert in promoting reading, publisher, and co-founder and President of the Universal Reading Foundation. She is a graduate of Romance Studies at Jagiellonian University, French Literature at the Sorbonne, and Social Communication at Lumière University Lyon 2.

She initiated the Czytam sobie book series and is the author of The Superpower of Books, as well as co-author of The Superpower of Books in Preschool and The Superpower of Books: Reeding dad. She has many years of experience as Managing Director of Egmont and Burda publishing houses and is a co-founder of Muchomor Publishing House.

Katarzyna Brzozowska

Project Manager in the READ.For Real Team, coordinator of the European Authors Day - #ReadForReal initiative in Poland and the Polish National Hub. Previously worked in the optical industry in the areas of management and e-commerce, as well as in the beauty sector. She is a graduate in Art History and a long-time member and former scout instructor of the Polish Scouting Association ZHR, affiliated with the 23rd “Pomarańczarnia” group.
